This is just psyco IPO flipping. It will come back down significantly soon, I imagine.

The guy who created this site was their third employee and is worth something like $100 million now.

Box CEO MAF :

Does seeing Dropbox’s numbers make you want to get into the consumer business at all?

God, no. 60% to 70% retention rates, the dynamics of their business—I haven’t done any of the math on this, but every year you have to go reacquire hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue to make up for the hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue that churned. You’re kind of on this hamster wheel from a customer standpoint. Also, it's a wildly competitive market—You’ve got iCloud, Google GOOGL, -0.46% GOOG, -0.44% Drive, OneDrive. You have adjacent competitors, like we all probably put our photos on Facebook FB, -0.38% or Instagram, so you have to be thinking about different adjacencies where the data that could have been in Dropbox is now in a photo-sharing tool or different platform. It’s not an attractive market. Dropbox has made it work, so I give them huge kudos for how they’ve made that business work, but I would not be able to stomach that.

wrong question to ask for a recently ipo’ed tech company. net income is worthless. gotta look at total addressable market (consumer cloud storage seems massive) and their share of the space. i bet revenues are sticky as fuck since people aren’t uprooting their files to save a buck or two on subscription fees.

bet cash flows look good in the near term.

Wheres that cash going? Dropbox has been around a while. I admittedly dont know anything about how their business works in terms of cost centers. Is cloud storage particularly expensive? It just seems like such a simple business, call me naive but just seems like they should be in the black by now.
