There's a weird "X" area in the median that seems like a pedestrian path (except there's signs forbidding pedestrian use). https://imgur.com/a/lsaF4 (victim's walking path in red)
Location and path of victim clearly shows that the Lidar failed or the car had some issues. The software should've been able to detect the biker walking across with time to brake before impact.
