The most industrialized states are Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Punjab (or Maharashtra). Kerela has been run by the communists for years now. Kerala is developed not because of the Christians but because of foreign remittances of its expats from the Arab Gulf countries. The Northeast is also a mess though that isn't as much a fault of Northeasterners as it is of Bangladeshi immigrants. Goa has good tourist infrastructure so people might think it is developed.
