Libs are a lost cause; I'm thinking the main audience to shift would be urbab/suburban moderates, who don't own guns but support gun ownership in the abstract. Since they don't have skin in the game and are supporting 2A only on principle, they're the key demographic the left is trying to turn. Hence the media saturation.
There's so much low hanging fruit to be picked for Britain alone that could be used to flank the left. The "common sense gun regulation" meme needs to be punctured. Moderates NEED to be awared on this.
You're right that the choice of organisation and representative to do it would be critical. My first thought would be Tucker Carlson but that might not be so good; he's too infamous now.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terminology_of_the_British_Isles
The jurisdictional and constitutional structure of the UK is a mess because it evolved organically over the centuries instead of being (semi-)rationally planned out like the state-federal structure of the USA or year-zeroed like in France.
UK is the entity that carries out external diplomacy, issues passports, controls the armed forces, etc. The legislative body at the UK level is Westminster. The government is at Whitehall. The top judicial body is the Supreme Court (relatively recent creation, before that I believe it was the House of Lords).
England, Scotland, and Wales are "countries" within the UK, while Northern Ireland's status is a little unclear -- sometimes it's called a country, other times a province. Scotland, Wales, and N. Ireland each have some degree of autonomy, and have their own local parliaments or assemblies. England does not have its own parliament and is governed directly from Westminster. England, Wales, Scotland, and N. Ireland all send MPs to Westminster. It's a kind of "asymmetric federalism".
In the US constitution, sovereignty theoretically resides in the states, who choose to give up certain powers to the federal government. In the UK, the reverse is the case: the Parliament in Westminster is ultimately sovereign, and it devolves certain powers as it wishes to the lower legislatures. This power can be revoked, as it has several times, most notably in Northern Ireland, whose assembly has been temporarily dissolved by Westminster on numerous occasions due to violence and political deadlock.
England and Wales are in many respects closer to each other than either are to Scotland or N. Ireland, which is why in many contexts they are grouped together as a single unit called "England and Wales". Examples include courts and the prison system. Scotland has its own somewhat separate legal system called "Scots Law", which contains elements of both common law and civil law. Northern Ireland exists in an especially troublesome bit of constitutional limbo, due in part to the Belfast Agreement which ended its civil war.
Aside from the four main countries there's another category of territories which are the responsibility of the Crown (theoretically the Monarch, in practice a separate bureaucracy accountable to the Monarch). Examples: Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, and various far-flung overseas remnants of the British Empire. These are places that are basically self-governing, but whose foreign relations and defence are handled by the UK. They don't send MPs to Westminster. Many are tax-havens. They're analogous to Puerto Rico and other US dependencies.
