SOLOS - how do you set up your phone and fax?

Date: April 12th, 2018 11:54 PM Author: impertinent azure abode kitty what's your call volume? ruby receptionists is 180 but expensive. you can give them scripts to screen calls, and they have an app where you can set if you want to take calls or not at any given time.
use google voice so you control the number, but either forward to your cell or a receptionist service. don't use a number provided by a service or even from your office, because you can't take it with you if you move.
i have hellofax for fax but we almost never use it.
based on a tip from CSLG and seeing how some clients are trying to contact us i'm thinking about implementing a txt service as well. google voice has this capability but it's not great, probably going to use a dedicated service. |

Date: April 13th, 2018 12:06 AM Author: impertinent azure abode kitty it's OK. it works. you just have to delete a bunch of shit in your email when you reply otherwise you text your signature, reply email, etc. also it doesn't link up with any contact database, so all you see is a phone number. no idea how to send MMS with it. i assume it can accept MMS but i haven't ever tested it.
i haven't fully investigated standalone texting services, i just know these are issues i have with google voice for texting. |

Date: April 13th, 2018 12:08 AM Author: impertinent azure abode kitty google voice lets you move the number around. cell now, receptionist service later, virtual pbx, then office landline after that. you always control the number so you're not stuck with any given service or phone company. and it's free, so why not. if you use it for voicemail too your voicemails are transcribed and emailed to you. also it can accept texts.
you almost never need a fax, but an efax service costs $5 per month so you may as well have it set up in case you do need it. |
