My perspective is that owning is a wash, but I get what I want and have a very safe investment.
Best case is if you don't care if you live in a shithole (Jews), either rent or buy a cheap place you aren't going to update.
Personally, I like the fact that I can invest in the features I want in my home and not have to ask permission to make changes...while still owning in a market that is increasing in value. My mortgage also is a fixed price, so I'll be effectively be paying half in 15 years than I do now. Market rents go up. |
