I forget if I already told you - bird dood took a shower on my head the other night and got shampoo/conditioner all over his feathers. We tried giving him a bath to wash it off and he refused to go near us for 3-4 hours and looked miserable. He went into his cage and sulked in a corner of the cage and didn't talk to us for hours (which is unusual). I tried blow drying him a little bit. I almost wanted to killself b/c he looked so unhappy. All is well though - after he dried off he's back to his happy, upbeat, talkative self.

Yes, he didn't want to go under the shower stream, so he just rubbed his feathers on the top of my head instead. He wasn't really "showering" - just wiping his body on my head. When he flew off, he still had shampoo/conditioner all over him.

We had to give him a bath to actually wash it off, which he hates. I don't think he likes getting his down feathers wet.
