We tried giving him a bath to wash it off and he refused to go near us for 3-4 hours and looked miserable. He went into his cage and sulked in a corner of the cage and didn't talk to us for hours (which is unusual). I tried blow drying him a little bit. I almost wanted to killself b/c he looked so unhappy. All is well though - after he dried off he's back to his happy, upbeat, talkative self. Date: April 19th, 2018 2:51 PM Author: flushed racy prole Yes, he didn't want to go under the shower stream, so he just rubbed his feathers on the top of my head instead. He wasn't really "showering" - just wiping his body on my head. When he flew off, he still had shampoo/conditioner all over him.
We had to give him a bath to actually wash it off, which he hates. I don't think he likes getting his down feathers wet. |
