Consider whether you will be more healthy, less healthy, or have the same level of health tomorrow.
Obviously the correct answer is that there's a 1/3 chance you're more healthy, a 1/3 chance you're less healthy, and a 1/3 chance you're the same.
But now consider whether your health will change tomorrow or whether it will be the same.
Now the correct answer is that you have a 1/2 chance of having your health change, and a 1/2 chance of having your health stay the same.
This is the fundamental paradox of statistics: depending on how you ask the question, the probability of future events changes. Ask the question the first way, and you have a 1/3 chance that your health stays the same. Ask it the second way and the probability your health stays the same shoots up to 1/2.
