you need to try Nardil or Parnate (Nardil is probably the better option if you have social anxiety/avoidance behaviors). the dietary restrictions suck, but they work especially well for anxious depressives.

SSRIs have no dietary restrictions and hard to kill yourself with, but almost certainly have lower effectiveness. Look around on Google Scholar and you will find studies showing higher effect sizes for social anxiety. I believe the same is true for PTSD.
Having gone through the standard antidepressant treatments and then tried Parnate, I would never use a non-MAOI antidepressant again. It might not work for you, but I think there there is a reasonable chance of success. |

Getting them can be difficult and you might have to doctor shop to find one willing to prescribe them. I would recommend doing your research before asking for them, so you can sound informed. |
