the net effect of this will be a "helpful" boost of about 0.5 on a 10 point scale
yet charles' own inaction and procrastination of waiting til this point, letting his body and mind decay and letting the dating ecosystem around him for a guy his age deteriorate into the sad abysmal state it's in, has already docked him about 5 points in terms of the subjective fulfillment he could have had if he had only started organically and younger
*sigh*
and yes, he's "only" 28, still young by all conventional views! life fully ahead of him, by all normie platitudes! when one look at the 28 y/o bracket online or irl would viciously tear down this lie.
this world is so tilted and unfair, and sad and farcical things go on within it, and i cry and tear my hair out to bear witness to it.

That said there was a perilously small group of women I found at all appealing in UG and I didn't get along great with any of them. Then, I spent my first few years in DC as a serious poor. If I'd landed a serious relationship young I'd probably a lawyer now and that certainly would not be CR.
Really, this is probably the first time it's actually been CR for me to try getting married, and the big issue isn't so much that I missed my window, but that I have zero experience and by extension extremely low confidence. This is going to be painful to fix but the attempt must be made. |
