1. The weather is nowhere near as good and consistent for as long during the year as Las Vegas. Within a span of like 8 months I pretty much know what I'm getting weather-wise in Vegas.

The problem is no one wants to live in a disgusting ghetto and so AC is never going to "happen". The casino interests don't care either, they're happy to consolidate and simply take their money to the bank.
With gambling now in center city Phila, Queens, Yonkers and CT, as well as online, AC's main draw is hurting. If you want a beach town, there's a shit ton in NJ that are far nicer without threatening ghetto thugs. |

That will never happen because it's not profitable enough, both because of taxes/competition and because the weather doesn't draw the young party crowd for nearly as long during the year as Vegas.
