That $85k check was mistakenly double printed. Better take both checks to the issuing bank ASAP and get them cashed before anyone catches on.

Was a father and son in the same accident. They both settled for 85K.

Both were adults. If the settlement is over 5k and the person is a minor you have to have a blocked account set up.

Just checked it out. Honestly, I'm too busy grinding car accidents to do something I don't know very well. Doesn't make much economic sense for me. I have a good formula and pipeline now, so things are pretty easy.

Fees on those cases were 67.5K. They all settled pre-lit so 33%.

Quick q: generally speaking, how much do your cases settle for when compared to medical bills? 2x? 3x?

Soft tissue generally 1.5-2x meds (sometimes even 1x meds if they are super inflated and the PD is low). 3x meds on soft tissue injuries don't really happen that often in California anymore. Instead you just have super high bills and get 1.5-2x meds and then cut the bills a significant amount post-settlement.

On hard injuries (breaks/scars/surgery), anywhere from 3x-20x (or more) meds. For example, I have a microdiscectomy case going to mediation next month. Meds are only 150k but I expect the case to settle in mid-high six figures. I have had scars on children with a few grand in meds settle for 30-50k in the past.
