The judge loses his job, replaced by a woman who will ostensibly take into account the sex, whiteness, and "privilege" of a criminal before deciding on an approopriate sentence.

I supported #recallpersky not b/c I want longer sentences (I don't), but b/c I think sentencing should be the same regardless of the race and class of the offender and victim. Those two things are not mutually exclusive. 5/

I’m shocked at how many law profs support the recall. Meanwhile defense attorneys are the ones pointing out just how badly this will go for their mostly black and brown clients.
