And my hunch is immigrations affects those stats in ways that aren’t intuitive. We could only accept a bunch of super smart foreign law students to work in biglaw, but would that increase or decrease gdp per capita if all the foreigners just replace domestic law students, who then go on to earn less than they would have in biglaw? |
