“We saw the demand for additional retail space – both in the area and within Beavercreek Towne Center specifically – and we recognized the unique opportunity to increase our capacity to meet demand from retailers and create an even more cohesive experience for shoppers,” said Tom Meyers, regional vice president for Phillips Edison & Co.

The 5,300-square-foot single-story building will have room for four tenant spaces.

Meyers wouldn’t say what tenants would be in the new development or how much it cost, but he said the tenant mix strategy is the same as it is for all other Phillips Edison properties in the United States.

“We aim to bring in a mix of tenants that meet as many day-to-day needs as possible,” he said. “In addition to a top-ranked grocery store like Fresh Thyme, which anchors Beavercreek Towne Center, this can include food and beverage operators, fitness locations, medical offices, discount stores, hair and/or nail salons and entertainment options, among others.”
