It also is awful when people sleep on the street. Or when kids go to bed hungry all over the world. Or when people have painful disabilities caused by things that are easily curable. When people work in factories 20 hours a day with no light.
These people rant and rave over this one issue, and then they go and drop $200 on dinner for "date night" - an amount that could've changed someone's life.
I'm not saying that makes them bad people, just that it seems like they are incapable of seeing the bigger picture. |
