Yeah, just do take an already difficult to prove crime and let women dig up he-said/she-said stories from 20 years ago.

I'm sympathetic to the first case she talks about, where there is absolutely a rape, and the police simply don't have a DNA match in the database yet to figure out who it was.

Of course that's not the situation that she is really concerned with.

I feel like some states allow a John Doe DNA profile to be indicted in a case where you have DNA but no match.

Of course, then you have people who think just because there is a 15 year statute of limitations, you should get that time to think about whether you want to “press charges.”

I'm ok with having A DNA exception or using the John Doe tactic. But that obviously doesn't do much good if you're trying to broadly eliminate the statue of limitations.

This what happens when we let libs legislate entirely based on emotion.

"in spite of persuasive evidence or a confession."

So draft an exception that rigorously defines and narrowly accommodates those situations, and I'll take a look at it.

Seems like something that would be worthwhile -- if you don't have ulterior motives.

not reading. does it explain why raep should be treated differently from other violent crimes?
