in the popular imagination, they might as well not exist. just weird. |

there was another thread this morning that just made NYC's poor white trash jump to the front of my head. and i started to think that if you asked people based on their imagination/media to paint a picture of NYC, there would be no poor white people. and that's super fucking weird to me because before college all the white people i met were poorer than me accept for a sprinkling. and there are alot of them. i bet people think there are none. no...there are a fucking ton. and they're generally good folks ime. truth is most people when you deal with them one on one are good folks, i know the stormfronters don't like to hear that, but that's my experience. |
