2. Shogun by James Clavell. Clavell is apparently pretty similar to Michener so if you liked him you should like this. These days the book would be slammed as "Orientalist" and an inauthentic take on Japanese culture but WGAF, it's a fun book.
3. The Grand Strategy of Philip II by Geoffrey Parker. This can provide you a more granular view of the Hapsburg Monarchy, which was a big player in Kennedy's book. It really digs into the strategic dilemmas of a vast empire in the early modern period.
4. The Hundred-Year Marathon by Michael Pillsbury. Since you apparently like Cold War books, why not a read about the new Cold War?
5. The Building of the Atomic Bomb by Richard Rhodes. Pretty good World War 2-related nonfiction.
6. Flashman by George Macdonald Fraser. At this point I'm just listing books I really like.
7. Dreadnought by Robert Massie
8. Sword of Honor trilogy by Evelyn Waugh
