If you know the right length, Etsy has a ton of leather dudes that do bespoke bands with very high quality leather. I LOVE the texture of Horween and I think that would be the right type of leather for a vintage seamster.
If you just want to order a ready made one, I got a good one from here. Not the "best", but priced appropriately.
