There are always going to be these kids and they will all grow up disillusioned. I dont want government involved in what values a parent gives her child, but I do find it fascinating to see what values are dominant in the culture at large. That our "moment" has landed on perverting the fact that mammals / great apes come in two complementary sexes in the name of "freedom" is pretty wild.

Desmond is showing that to be gay means to be filthy, drug-addicted, whorish, pedophilic, without the concept of childhood or masculinity or modesty.
