The reason atheists hate Christians so much is that nagging fear in their mind that they are wrong. When they argue, they are really trying to convince themselves. If they were really certain about their belief, they would just ignore the religious types.
I don't believe in Bigfoot. But, I don't feel the need to go to Bigfoot sites and tell people how stupid they are for believing. That's the difference.

There's generally a large overlap between shitlibs and athiests.
But to be clear, I'm talking about those responsible for things like this:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5952625/Christian-doctor-fired-saying-people-choose-gender-reveals-speak-out.html
Or those who have guaranteed your firing if you even publicly question the "benefits" of diversity, such as what happened to the Google engineer. Newsflash, every single one of those people votes for Dems, just like you do.

So you agree you are talking about two different things, then, notwithstanding your claim of "overlap"?
There's a pretty big overlap of fascism and Christianity too bro.
Ive said before, if you want to poast something interesting, don't poast something that immediately cuts both ways.

Your posts tend to be nonsensical, so I don't go down the rabbithole.
If you'd like, you can respond to the point that is the subject of this subthread.
Some angry atheist claimed that Christians are inserting their beliefs into his life. I said that this is bullshit, pointed to how shitlibs insert their religious beliefs stemming from their religion of shitliberalism onto everyone, and challenged him to list examples to quantify what he first said.
I'm still waiting for those examples.

Here are some other considerations:
Long-term environmental issues ignored because of beliefs that the rapture/apocalypse or something will happen soon, so they don’t matter.
The destruction of great works of art considered to be pornographic/blasphemous, and the persecution of the artists.
Children traumatized by vivid stories of eternal burning and torture to ensure that they’ll be too frightened to even question religion.
School boards having to spend time and money and resources on the fight to have evolution taught in the schools.
Mayors, senators, and presidents voted into office not because they’re right for the job, but because of their religious beliefs.
Missionaries destroying/converting smaller, “heathen” religions and cultures.
Grief and horror caused by the belief that dead friends and family members are tortured as punishment for disbelief.

and more
Giving us hawkish as shit foreign policy on Jerusalem.
People accepting visual and auditory hallucinations unquestioningly as divine, sometimes with fatal results.
Blue laws forcing other businesses to stay closed or limit sales, while churches can generate more revenue.
Censorship (often destructive) of speech, art, books, music, films, poetry, songs and, if possible, thought.
Women having septic abortions—or being forced to have unwanted children they resent—because religious organizations have gotten laws passed making abortion illegal or inaccessible.
Vilification of homosexuality, resulting in discrimination, parents disowning their children, murder, and suicide.

Horseshit. According to a historian of science:
"Correlation is not causation. That the Scientific Revolution was finally completed when Christians ruled the West, was as much an irrelevant happenstance as that it occurred in England.
Pagan theology and even de facto atheism both inspired empirical-mathematical-mechanistic scientific thinking in antiquity. Christianity contributed nothing.
No cyclical theory of time had any effect on scientific thought or progress in antiquity. Christian expectations of the imminent end of the universe were actually far more antithetical to investment in science.
Badly preserving a lost science treated as gospel and never improved on or even correctly understood (as defines the Medieval treatment of science) is not “doing science.” The Greeks and Romans were actually doing science.
Everything distinctive of the Scientific Revolution existed in antiquity: They had systematic controlled experiments, careful observation, mathematically predictive descriptions of nature, mechanical theories and models, and continual progress toward correct conclusions about the laws, contents, and operations of nature. (And as I also show in Science Education, they even had the equivalent of universities and scientific societies.)
Science was only killed by the collapse of the civilization that supported it. Which was a political, not an intellectual failure. The third century saw a fifty-year civil war ending in the collapse of the fiduciary economy. What arose from the ashes was basically the ancient equivalent of Panem: a facade of glory resting on a ravaged and fucked economic and social system no one did anything to fix, and that was only kept in check by a ruthless fascism. Run by Christians.
The only intellectual zeitgeist that put an end to science was Christianity. It did not wage any war on science (contrary to exaggerated myths); but it did scorn and dissuade everyone from the values necessary to a successful scientific enterprise: embracing curiosity as a moral virtue, assigning evidence the highest authority in debate, and believing in the value and possibility of progress in scientific and technical knowledge. The pagan elite had all three of those things. Medieval Christians held all three in suspicion or contempt."

I understand. But just to be clear, you shouldn't start ranting about shitlibs when you are talking about athiests. It makes you sound dumb as fuck.
As for instances where christers try to interfere in public policy:
They attempt (often quite successfully) to hold back science education in public schools, for one thing. That's sufficient enough for a start. Don't ask me to explain how they do this--I haven't got time to go over w you how christers try to confuse the issue at length w "let the students decide about Darwin after hearing *both* sides of the story" and the horrible dishonesty of efforts to insert "intelligent design" into academic curricula.
That alone--that holding us back as a people--that alone is enough of a justification to be highly critical of Christianity and Christians per se.

So you can point to one pseudo example, of an attempt not to teach evolution in schools.
Of course, I say "pseudo" because it doesn't actually count as an example affecting anyone's lives, because the attempts have failed. Evolution is taught everywhere.
Here's a counterpoint to that pseudo example, and it's a real one since it was successful and is going on all over:
http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2015/05/15/call-it-gender-fluidity-schools-to-teach-kids-there-s-no-such-thing-as-boys-or-girls.html
Many shitlibs have succeeded in imposing this religious belief - not grounded in science or fact - onto young kids, as this is what they are taught in schools.
So this is a very weak showing on your part. Got any real examples? And you need to back them up with a link.

For anyone reading, this is a choice example of 110 IQ reddit atheist behavior. Claiming “scientific literacy” because you believe in evolution. Needless to say, spaceporn is not an evolutionary scientist and has no more scientific literacy in evolution than your average young-earth retard. I may as well claim legal literacy because I acknowledge there is a constitution. But by rubbing shoulders with smart people by “believing” in their science, the 110 IQ dullard “pwns” the 100 IQ Christian and feeds his delusion that he’s smart.
Nb: I don’t, of course, endorse the proposition that spaceporn’s legal literacy exceeds his scientific literacy. As readers are aware, he was thoroughly blown out by his 1L exams and became a shitlawyer. This type of intellectual trauma is often the cause of the 110 IQ atheist’s misguided need to reestablish his intellectual credentials by atheism. Alas...

Most Americans say racism is nonsensical and fundamentally unfounded.
Many Atheists say gender is a social construct and womun should naturally have equal pay.
Christians are MORE likely to believe in the relevant consequences of belief in science.
Shitlibism/atheism- toxic and poisoning minds.

"They never really attack the actual metaphysics of the smartest Christians."
You mean things most Christians don't believe?
If I'm arguing that society is overrun by dumb shit dumb people believe (and force on others), it doesn't do you any good to say, "hey, there's this other tangentially related and tiny, powerless group with different beliefs."

hold on hold on--either you believe the following and your Christian, or you don't believe the following and your not Christian. That's what a creed is:
So you can be Christian without believing that JEsus was begotten by God; he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and was made human, he was crucified and was buried and on the third day he rose again, notwithstanding having been dead, and He ascended to heaven?
do you believe this or not? Don't go all airy fairy on us.

okay. I hear ya.
But you pretty much have to believe the following to be Christian, no?
JEsus was begotten by God; he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and was made human, he was crucified and was buried and on the third day he rose again, notwithstanding having been dead, and He ascended to heaven?
