holy fuck; baby boomer yuppies were whiny and insufferable. it was also racier than i thought network TV would have been back then. in one episode, we had an adultery plotline, a bit of foot fetishism, we saw one of the main female characters in black panties, showing her bare back, a joke about pussy tightness after the birthing process, and a bunch of characters talking about sex and their sex lives with each other.
it also had what seemed like an absurd setup for a dramatic crisis where one of the male leads has a crisis of conscious and tells off a big client for his ad firm who wanted them to copy some other firm's ad campaign for his own product. since when did 80's yuppie advertising functionaries have ETHICS?

I remember utterly hating those characters when I watched that show as a kid and I couldn't even get the plot. There's one scene where the guy is whining "I used to love being Catholic!" like an utter bitch.
I was more of a "Night Court"/"Airwolf"/"Miami Vice"/"Tales From the Darkside" kiddo myself.
