for example, at the valley of the workers in luxor, there was all this locked up shit that had beautiful colors on the walls of the tombs. paid like $1 and got to see shit i wasn't able to. just negotiate with them. they're desperate for money. $1 is a significant amount of money to them. |

Day 1: Check in, immediately hie to the ferry and cross to the West Bank, get a cab, see Valley of Kings, Collosi, Hatshepsut's Temple, and whatever else I can fit in. In the evening, return to Luxor and see the Luxor Temple/Museum (they're open late).
Day 2: Day trip to Abydos/Dendera, return and once again do Luxor Temple/Museum in the evening to hit anything I missed.
Day 3: Get up as early as possible, go to Karnak temple in the morning. In the afternoon, recross river and hit any West Bank highlights I didn't get to the first day. Return to Luxor, catch an overnight train back to Cairo. |
