first of all, these women are all landwhales - i don't give a shit if they fall 5 lb under the definition of obese. the impression they give off is one that's deserving of the utmost shame.

secondly, BMI systematically UNDER-estimates female fatness. that's because BMI only looks at height and weight. it doesn't account for gender, so a 5'8" 165 lb male is considered the EXACT SAME as a 5'8" 165 lb female. obviously the former is fine, while the latter is fat as fuck.

thirdly, the word "overweight" sounds so soft and gentle, people actually take great PRIDE in being "overweight" these days because it means they're not "technically" unhealthy while having a loose and fun approach to food and body image. hear enough normies talk about weight, and the word "overweight" is granted an aura of prestige and health, while anything less is marred by connotations of being obsessive, sickly, or oppressed by societal judgment. it's grotesque.
