just figure out how much you can afford and buy the best parts you can, the only difficulty is learning the nomenclature (just takes a bit of googling) to learn what is actually good & know how to make sure everything is compatible

it sounds harder than it is, when it takes like 10 min of googling & common sense

for example a 'chipset' means the socket on a motherboard, you need to make sure it's compatible with the processor you buy, you need to make sure all the parts you buy can actually clear space wise in a case you purchase, also not all parts are made the same, some graphics card models are made by different manufacturers & offer slightly better performance for a price

parts like gpu (graphics card) and cpu (processor) should be decided based on what monitor you want & what resolution and frames you want to get from high end games, so if you want 1440p/1080p at like 200+ frames per second you will a need top end card and processor

Go to this website and pick a pricepoint. It will give you a list of parts that go well together. Watch some youtube videos or invite over a pc-mo friend when it's time to build.

Don't oversell it. The first time will take 3 hours or so for a total noob.

It's almost impossible to fuck up the build so much that you break something. Any other fuckups you can ask your internet friends for help.

That system is bad. Paying Digital Storm to prebuilts for you isn't terrible but know you're paying a premium for the service. Building a basic PC takes a couple hours if you're new.

Determine what your desired use case is (eg, 1080p 60fps) then find a GPU that will get you there by googling benchmarks.

hassling him is like dorks at a store all talking about how prebuilt is so much better when the guy just wants an out of the box good game system computer

It's a very low end system with an integrated GPU. It will barely do 1080 30fps.

This is my parts list for a PC I built a couple months ago:

It is way overkill for what you want, but I'm sharing it just so you can compare to the systems in your OP.

The case in my list is 180, by the way.

Hah, I figured someone would call that out.

I haven't gamed in years, but I still wanted a video card for obvious reasons. My main concern with this build was quite operation, and based upon my research, the particular card I purchased is one of the quietest cards available due to its oversized cooler relative to cooling requirements.

there are websites you can say shit like this is how much I want to spend and it'll generate a list of the best quality, compatible parts you can buy. There are numerous how-to walkthroughs and videos online for how to build a comp. It is not a difficult process - you can save a ton of money this way
