RSF / DBG HELP with Lufthansa booking

Date: July 21st, 2018 7:00 PM Author: boyish fluffy native Booked Lufthansa round trip to Europe for the holidays. I'm an Americanmo but needed LH for this trip due to the location. Wife and I flying together. Paid cash for Premium Economy.
Any recommendations for how I can get us upgraded to Business? We have about 70,000 miles between us (which I can transfer hers to my account probably), and I would have time to do any credit card games needed to up my total. Thanks in advance. |
Date: July 21st, 2018 7:22 PM Author: boyish fluffy native I found this, which says it would be 30,000 miles per person, per leg to get upgraded from Premium Economy (E) to business. I could very easily get 120,000 United miles (assuming I can use United miles to upgrade on Lufthansa metal).

How do I actually do the upgrades? Do they only have a limited number of seats they allow it for? |

unfortunately on the flight over there it showed <><><>NOINVENTORY<><><> which sucks because that's the overnight segment. Do you know if they ever free up inventory later for mileage upgrades? (flight still 8+ months out)
these bros makes the upper deck look pretty shitty, but whatever.
