a steak with a pan sauce.

which is pretty much all you need.

get some bread and butter, lettuce, and the ingredients for a caesar salad. these sides can be made with a fork.

scrambled eggs with any toppings

fried steak, chicken (chicken breasts), stir fry, shrimp scampi, baked potatoes with any of those things. If you have a lid, you can steam some vegetables by putting in just a bit of water and covering tightly.

Do you not have a pot at all? like to boil water in? That would really help with sides like pasta, ravioli, etc.

I assume you also have knives to make salad with.

You will at least need a knife. You cna make baked potatoes with like, broccoli, mushrooms and cheddar cheese for toppings. Thats a meal. you can warm up leftover baked potatoes with your scrambled eggs and cheese next morning. At a minimum you will need a real knife.

Also pancakes.

Also get one of those induction kettles and give it to your neighbor when you move or take it with you. those things are life changing - I could easily make do with one of those, a toaster oven, and 2 hotplates for the rest of my life.

a cheap shitty one like this is your best bet if you're not keeping it

https://www.amazon.com/Ovente-BPA-Free-Protection-Indicator-KP72W/dp/B00DEQDEZA/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1532303519&sr=8-8&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=electric+kettle&dpPl=1&dpID=41DY1IrMSEL&ref=plSrch

they have them at walmart these days. It basically boils a liter and a half of water in about 45 seconds so you can insta-cook any 'just-add-water' meal. I used to break up a noodle pack and toss it in there while I fried up some frozen steak strips and mushrooms.
