in modern times, it's much more important to have a higher standard for converts because of the ease of reverting back to a non-jewish life. in old times, they didnt have options. |

After confirming that all these requirements have been met, the beth din issues a "Certificate of Conversion" (Shtar Giur), certifying that the person is now a Jew. |
