These issues are legendary. Honda has never been able to build automatic transmissions that don't self destruct when mated to a V6.

Depends. I believe Honda extended the warranty on certain models. If I was going to pay cash I would buy my own and find a shop to install it. Any transmission shop will have replaced a billion V6 honda trannies and there are probably rebuilt transmissions all over the internet.

"In Denver everyone else is driving a Subaru or f ucking Prius these days"

These days? That's always. But a Subaru is 10x more fun than a minivan.

"LA you are getting setyled on left and right by 16 year olds and grandmas driving better cars than you"

OTOH, if you're driving a minivan then you weren't going to compete with the guy driving an RS7 anyway. In LA my new BMW X6 50i would be shrug-worthy.

That is outside the city, mostly. Those guys will have the typical pickup trucks you would expect. The O&G guys are the ones you see with legit SUVs (Rovers, Jeeps, etc.). Everyone else (the vast majority) have always liked Subarus, Priuses, Saturns (back in the day). That's just the sort of place Denver is.

Look, expensive car purchases require negotiation with wife. She gets hand me down cars, so while she is getting the Jeep in the short term, long term I'll get an X5 50i or M and she'll get that x6.

At any rate, we already have one full SUV. She wanted something that was more like a sports car on an SUV platform, which is what the X6 is.
