Its pretty fucking terrible and extremely formulaic. Oh shit, small town girl narrator keeps having disturbing flashbacks and shows he personal demons via tried and true exposition techniques like drinking and smoking and cutting. Real original. Oh and she's a journalist so bam, she's got a reason to investigate and tell the story. Hunky new cop in town is sick of the townies so of course he'll open up to black sheep journalist babe.
Pretty sure the writer just filled in a template for this one. |

Your description is pretty interesting. Also the set up in mysteries isn’t exactly the draw- it’s the underlying crime and how it’s laid out over the series. |
