If trump really did collude with Russia, it would have leaked by now, right?

1. Trump, Jr. meets with a Russian agent at Trump Tower to obtain dirt on Hillary Clinton. He initially claims that it was about Russian adoptions, which is a euphemism for the Magnitsky Act that Putin wants repealed.
2. Trump says, "Russia, if you're listening, hack Hillary's emails." The same day, Russians started hacking Hillary's emails for the first time.
3. Trump fires James Comey because of the Russia investigation, and tells everyone on national TV. Imagine if Hillary became President and fired Comey to stop the investigation into her emails?

If there were some smoking gun, it would probably have been leaked by now. But as I've said before, Weissmann can easily construct a complaint outlining "collusion" and make it appear extremely detailed. They've interviewed 100+ people, some multiple times, and essentially have unlimited and unconstrained access to data and documents from the Trump circle. Say you interview a guy for 8 hours. It might be completely useless except for a line or two that you can stick in the middle of a 200 page indictment, along with a bunch of other hodge-podge crap.
Remember, *anything* tangentially related to "Russia" could be used to construct and bolster a collusion type narrative. If you already believe that Trump and his people were colluding, then you take, for example, the Trump Jr. meeting with the Russian lawyer as evidence of said collusion. That meeting simply confirms your pre-determined belief that "something was going on" even though the communications entirely emanated from the Russian side, and even though the meeting proved to be entirely worthless.
Remember, these guys aren't pursuing justice, as we typically think of it. Collusion and conspiracies are about narrative building. If you read the bot and hacking indictments, they are obviously written by Weissmann. This is his forte - creating big cases out of loosely connected and mostly unrelated facts.

I agree they've been doing that all along, I'm just not quite sure it will continue to be effective for very long.
I think a lot of voters remain somewhat on the fence. They hear every day that the investigation is going forward, but nothing much is coming from it wrt collusion/Trump. Innuendo about potential obstruction charges isn't going to cut it for people who would potentially vote for Trump (or vote against their party in a midterm in an effort to limit his power.)
We'll see; I'm just not nearly as pessimistic as libs are optimistic about it.

As far as Manafort's texting goes, I think he's just your typical boomer who doesn't know shit about tech and probably thought that using Signal or whatever protected his messages b/c they're encrypted.
And I find it hard to believe that if the Trump campaign really did hatch up a scheme to collude with the Kremlin to steal the 2016 election, that they did it w/o leaving any trace. Remember, Don Jr. had a lengthy convo over email with Goldstone who fed him that bullshit about "incriminating" HRC info.
So if Don Jr. will have a convo about this shit over regular email, why wouldn't there be email/text/whatever traffic about the alleged "collusion"?
At the end of the day, it's damn near impossible to prove a negative. But usually Occam's Razor gets the job done. And the simplest plausible answer is that there wasn't collusion.

Ghetto blacks and 90 IQ zips manage to do much more complicated and high risk criminal activity without leaving a paper trail, so I think you're underestimating them. Don Jr. was clearly on Team Stone and Manafort when the Trump Tower meeting happened, and after being approached by a freelancing Russian he made a couple dumb rookie mistakes before the pros got to him and coached him. He was trying to help Manafort and show him he deserved to be in the room, which is why he was so butthurt when it turned out that all the wanted to discuss was the Magnitsky Act and of course Don Jr. was out of his depth on an actual policy question. LOL at the Manafort notes from that meeting "Browder, Browder, must kill Browder, fucking Browder is in with the Bushies, fucking Bushies, fuck Browder, oh uh Russian adoption or something." Clearly their cover up skills were still coming together.
Just thinking about timing, that meeting happened like two weeks before they pushed Lewandowski out. Manafort's push to be campaign chair coincided with a pitch that they could make some shit happen with Russia. I think it's very possible that no one other than Manafort and Stone had anything to do with it, and they've done this their whole lives and would know exactly how to make sure there weren't any dumb emails anywhere.
