EV cars are fundamentally negative margin businesses. Every car maker loses a shitload of money on these cars (~$10k each). No one makes money, not Toyota, not Honda, not Tesla, etc. But with how much Tesla rips off buyers, I thought they'd at least eke out a small profit.
The stock price of Tesla is pure insanity.
edit: The 8-K Tesla filed today announcing a committee for reviewing any proposal confirms there's no plan, no source of financing. There's nothing. Seems more like the board covering their ass. |

The board basically sold Musk down the river today. They had no choice. Also, finally hired independent counsel for the securities investigation targeted at the company. I’m sure Paul Weiss pointed out they have a duty to defend shareholders against the company’s unhinged founder. |

The only time Tesla showed any profit was due to sales of the carbon credits -- this was really the game Elon was playing hoping to capture a significant portion of these credits.
The EPA is looking to revoke CA's waiver of the federal regulations. If/once this happens Tesla is more than fucked (they're already fucked so this is an exponential increase in fuckery). |
