Many of them went back to the "U" (U of Minnesota) for law school, MBAs, med school, and PhDs. They get jobs in Minneapolis at the best corporations and firms and hospitals. They walk right back into a UMC landscape where they have parents with huge 800K homes in nice areas. They have clean neighborhoods. They are the social elite. They have smart wives they met in grad school with bleached white teeth and that golden, upper midwestern blonde shine. They have cabins worth 500K-1M (factoring in land) up near Duluth. They go skate on ponds in the winter.
They have community. They have it made. |

I can't believe how many white people I met in Texas who talked about how places like Colorado were intolerably cold to live in year round.
Do you think Northwestern helped that much? Do you think it is worth it given the increasing cost? Why not just do real Big Ten school frat life + University of Minnesota grad school? |
