PS: In case you haven’t figured it out yet, all conservative male SCOTUS nominees going forward will be slammed with multiple (unprovable) “sexual assault” charges. GOP’s only options will be to say “lol we don’t care”; nominate women (who will probably be subject to other sorts of unprovable charges--"she called me a fag!" etc.); or put up moderate men who miiiiight be allowed to slide through as long as they promise to uphold Roe and shitlibs believe them when they grovel pathetically and swear it.

The fact that she can’t/won’t testify is when necessitates another allegation. One is an aberration, two is the start of a “deeply troubling” pattern—“where there’s smoke there’s fire,” etc.
To be clear, they might very well still pull this move even if she does end up testifying. |

The Republikkkans should have remained principled and let the SCOTUS filibuster stand during the Trump years, and let the Democrats abolish it—like they abolished it for lower court nominees, although I think all reasonable people can agree that that was different because “it had to be done”—next time they win POTUS and control the Senate. Just like the Republicans should have remained principled and nominated a moderate (like Garland!) to replace Kennedy in the first place, instead of a nut job like Kavanaugh.
