It's only a decidedly dumb decision if (1) he's in a field where his only options are to become a cog in the shitlib machinery (e.g., academia); and (2) he hadn't already burned his bridges to those places (which, bear in mind, as a white male happens instantly to first-time offenders who don't toe the line). It seems unlikely that the type of dude who'd write this would be in that situation. |
