um, that's exactly what causes alcoholism.
well, i see your point. it's more about becoming physically dependent on alcohol because of your gaba receptors downregulating after a long period of use.
i've done a lot of research on the topic. it's clear i naturally have a low gaba / high glutamate dysfunction since as long as i can remember (age 3). so it's natural i'd be drawn to medicate toward something that raises gaba and lowers glutamate.
