THey were up 24-7 in the red zone, and Oregon TD that would've put them up 31-7 was called back b/c the RB kicked the pylon before the ball crossed the endzone. Like 2 downs later on 3rd and goal, bad snap by Oregon leads to a fumble and Stanford return for a TD.
Instead of 31-7 now it became 24-14.
Stanford come back, then Oregon scores 1, now it's 31-28 with like 1 min left.
Oregon RB runs it for 1st down on 2nd and 3, then fumbles.
Stanford gets to field goal range and ties it up.

Five seconds left on fourth down. At that point you can just punt it out the back of the end zone. you can also tell QB to run around a bit then throw up a hail mary. Either one will burn up the last seconds
