it's comprehensive, intensive (30 40 hr. weeks) and involves many projects (which are the best way to learn). you don't have to pay shit up front and you don't have to pay anything if you don't get a 40k+ job.
i taught myself through a random hodgepodge of online resources (youtube, the few e-courses that were available, codecademy, etc.) back in the day and wish something like this was available.
main drawback obviously is the time investment. so probably not for someone with a job supporting a family, etc.

how are coding academies "fraud"? it's literally just shit you would do anyway only without having to dick around looking for resources/think of projects. or motivating yourself. which is probably a decent format for people who prefer not to self-teach. and in this case, they aren't taking much of your income.
I know people who have gotten jobs due to coding academies. why would they be more "fraud" than any other type of trade school?

why would you assume being "pumo" has jack shit to do with what I know? I've worked in the industry for 6 years and do well enough. Not discounting your experience, necessarily.
"If you can't motivate yourself to do the work on your own projects, you have no business coding someone else's stuff."
I don't think that's entirely true. Plenty of people can become useful developers without necessarily wanting to do their own projects. I don't think that's the right way but there seems to be a decent part of the population that works just for money and doesn't care whether or not they enjoy their jobs. 99% of lawyers, for example. hell, i've even had developer jobs i didn't *like* because they were using a shitty stack or CMS.

this is bullshit there is no "best method" for getting a coding job. i mean let's see how i've gotten my four coding jobs over 10 years:
1. craigslist 2010
2. craigslist 2011
3. some GC Bullshit(Indeed,Monster,etc.)-f500 company (2011)
4. upWork->fulltime (first upWork contract 2018)
so basically it doesn't really matter how you find the job you just gotta show niggas you can code better than the other niggas that be applying. craigslist doesn't work anymore but using that was just as random as upwork.

lol of course i wouldn't have taken less than that
the only thing that sucks is i have no benefits and get 1099 vs W-2
I think that's the way of the world though. I paid $288 a month at a F500 in NYC I pay like $100 more here for healthcare.

it's a customer assurance, and clearly it's working for them. they wouldn't be doing it if they couldn't afford to based on job placement (or lack thereof).
neither would this pricing model be popular if it wasn't feasible.
