So let's say in this hypo, someone is hit with a faulty search warrant or some other kind of unconstitutional search. That search turns up some huge amount of valuable contraband, like a few dozen kilos of cocaine.

Obviously a good defense attorney would be able to suppress the evidence, but the government isn't going to return the kilos to the D, right? So that person is just shit out of luck and down several million dollars? Is there no remedy for their forfeited property?
