Why do you need $3million in net worth to do this? All you’d need is like $20,000 and 6 months.

More history, better cities. Better overall experience.

The only cool part of the PCT before Oregon is basically the John Muir trail isn’t it

I would like to hike John Muir.

Why do you want to do a backpacking trip through nature for the cities? Also, what cities are you talking about? Damascus, Va?

Lots of cool trail towns. If you’re on a trail for six months it’s cool to have cities to go through

I’m not sure you understand what the Appalachian Trail is. You’ll walk 60 miles over the course of 4 or 5 days and come to a dirt forest road. If you want a shower, you can walk 8 miles further off the trail and there will be a dilapidated store where you can pay $5 for a shower and to pick up your mail. There are a few places like Damascus, Va. and Harpers Ferry, WVa. But that’s like 800+ miles in and they aren’t cities. The AT is a wilderness trail. It takes you into the wilderness.

It's not really worth it. In high school, my friend's dad boasted about hiking the Appalachian, and he was a dentist. It's beautiful and stuff, but ultimately, you'll get a much better experience going on a two week trek in Alaska.
