if 'rational' justifications can be found for tranny bathrooms, gay marriage, womyn's empowerment, 'sanctuary cities,' etc, it is not on a remotely strong enough 'rational footing,' and its premises need to be re-imagined from top to bottom. i say this is a contemptuous layman, mind you.

The only true law is violence and those with the power and will to wield it.

a lot of the reason why i like XO is because the lawyers here understand what "the law" actually is: sophistry made up by humans. well-reasoned and useful sophistry in many cases, but manufactured sophistry nonetheless. i assume that XO's extensive direct experience with "the law" has led you to realize what it really is

the lawyers and normies that i talk to in real life all have this absurd notion of "the law" being a real thing that everyone has to equally answer to, like the laws of physics or biology. it's really frustrating to try to have halfway deep conversations about any serious topic when the other person(s) keep coming back to the "legal" ramifications of something, or if some hypothetical point of view or course of action is "legal" or not

"the law" is like "rights": made up and irrelevant to anyone with the power or means to ignore it
