For starters, Jim Breuer "opened" and it was torture. There was no reason to make the whole event longer by having that dildo tell lame ass jokes.
The stage production for Metallica was pretty unique. Never seen a band use this kind of set up before, visually. And playing in the round is the way to go.
Sound took a little while to get dialed in. Overall, I think the stadium tour last summer sounded better.
Setlist:
Hardwired
Atlas Rise
Seek n destroy
Harvester of Sorrow
Unforgiven
Now that were dead
Creeping Death
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Fade2Black
Guitar/Bass Doodle
Motorbreath
Fuel
Moth into Flame
Sad but true
One
Master of Puppets
Spit Out the Bone
Nothing Else Matters
Enter Sandman
I'd say it's worth checking out if you shoq up late and avoid the comedy routine.
Halford was there in spirit, as the show was brought to you by 102.9 The Hog.
