The whole thing just shows what a sham the system is. No one else is charged with a crime. The cop is on video saying he won't press charges. The shrew prosecutor won't drop charges because "even though the girl was being kicked on the ground, she still hit a cop and that's a felony."

On the eve of trial they plea it out and she gets disorderly conduct and a $200 fine and the prosecutors are like "that's fair!" - and the vocal fry host points out that it wasn't a $200 fine because the 19 year old girl spent 4 days in jail, had to pay a bondsman $500 for her 5k bond, pay $800 in court costs, drive to the court house 20+ times for urine testing, etc - and oh yeah, they tried to charge her with a felony they knew was complete bullshit.

As soon as a man took over the file he was like "what the fuck is this" and got the case disposed of. Obviously he isn't going to just drop the charges on the morning of trial after the defense has already made a suggestion of misdemeanor
