Second pregnancy at 36: knocked up first month off pill and not even tracking ovulation, miscarriage at 8 weeks.
Second kid: 6 months after miscarriage and tracking ovulation. Went to fertility doc because was freaking out how it was taking so long and test showed no problems with either of us. Went to acupuncture to reset my body and got knocked up first month after doing acupuncture. |

Now if you get pregnant while on birth control, there is some risk of birth defects but small. Miscarriages are caused by chromosomal abnormalities. It’s nature’s way of getting rid of unviable pregnancies. The older you get, the more likely you have crappier eggs and sperm that don’t make viable embryos/fetuses.
