Mans innate falabilty/deep fear of death coupled with accepted lie of cultural state accepted reality could be describing same thing, Otto rank went in on it but I haven’t read his work too much because it’s rather difficult tbh
Essentially we replace the victimhood (fear of death) with a culturally acceptable lie of a heroic version of ourselves to wear as a mask (responsibility) our entire lives and it will never be satiated bc well reality ljl |
