The downside is that they suck and you have to live out in the middle of nowhere. The depreciation is not great but worse than that is the condition of these trailers after 15 or so years can be horrible.

If you own the trailer, you can rent a lot for $275/mo or so, sometimes less in shitty areas. This can also be as high as $1000+\mo for a nice park
