I welcome the parade of disgruntled posters who will angrily decry the current all-time abyss of pop culture, but just understand that overall aesthetics change fairly little in the broader cultural spectrum. More importantly, all of your ascertainable previous forebears has uttered the substantively identical complaint about youth culture being degenerate, vacant, and ignorant. The only difference between us and them is that we now split the window of 'goodness' into 5-10 years rather than a few decades, like every other generation you will try to reference.

Really makes you think. Every generation has thought future generations' music/etc. was degenerative. We, like every generation before us, scoffed at our elders. But when I see this shit, it does seem like maybe pop culture has been on a multi-generational descent into utter nearly incomprehensible depravity. Like, imagine telling some WASP in 1940s Connecticut that this would be one of the most popular musical acts in the country in 60-70 years?
