🚨 Official 2020 Baseball HOF Voting Thread 🚨

1. YEAH, JEETS
First year on the ballot for Derek Jeter. He will definitely be a first-ballot selection. Biggest question is his vote total. Will it be 100%, 95-99%, 90-94%, 80-89% or 75-79%? My guess is that his defensive liabilities cost him with some voters, especially some voters from gay Boston, and he finishes with around 92% of the vote.
2. xo Curt Schilling
Schilling is a very deserving candidate. Moose's election should free up a spot and should really help Schilling. Imo Schilling finishes between 70 and 74% and gets in the following year.
3. Bonds and Clemens
I don't think either gains enough momentum to get in next year. They probably tack on another few % but stay shy of 65%. My prediction is that they both make it in their final year of eligibility, as writers grapple with the idea of a Hall of Fame without two of the best players ever.
4. Larry Walker
He had a HUGE 2019 voting cycle, but took a hit on the private ballots and ended up about 20 points shy. I think that's too much to make up and he finishes just shy of 70%. He'll get in via the Veterans Committee.
5. Omar Vizquel
Lol, please don't let this undeserving faggot in the Hall. |

Who will be the next cause Celebre? Scott Rolen got a 7 percent bump to 16 or so, but that’s about where Todd Helton started. Will be interesting to see where Abreu starts as well.
I also see multiple guys getting in from Vets committee. Murphy, Whitaker, Tiant or whoever has the most friends on the committee. |

Is that year 9? Maybe. I think a lot of the "No" guys will finally relent in the last year to push them over the top.

Vizquel's numbers are definitely going to give Rolen a bump, as is Jeter on the ballot as Rolen's WAR/WAA compares favorably to Jeet.
I don't think Todd Helton will make it, but who knows.

Totally agree. I think Baines as a comparison makes a lot of players look worthy of induction from the VC. |

1. Derek Jeter is a lock at 100% so far. He won't stay at 100%, but he will be over 95%
2. xo Curt Schilling has made nice gains this year over last. I'm sticking with my original prediction that he ends up between 70-74% and gets in next year.
3. Bonds and Clemens both trending upwards, but won't have enough support this year
4. Larry Walker is going to be right on the edge. If he had another year I'd say he'd likely get in. It's going to be very very close. I say he ends up between 73-77%. Too close to call right now.
5. On a troubling note, Vizquel's support is increasing. This faggot shouldn't be anywhere near the HOF. The fact that he's polling close to Scott Rolen, who himself is a borderline candidate (though wayyy better numbers than Omar) is crazy. |
