I didn't think repairing a tear was even possible. Conceptually, what did they do and how well did it work?

I have a tear from a long time ago from trying to lift too heavy on a cut. It was a minor to moderate thing but I aggravated it a few more times from not letting it heal enough, not bulking to let it heal, etc.

I can still lift fairly heavy but it's a hindrance (especially on cuts . . . gets irritated easily, weaker than the other side, terrible recovery time). I wear a compression sleeve on my elbow to equalize the strength out of the bottom and that has helped a lot. But it's not ideal . . . sometimes my trap on that side is tight because it engages more, rotator cuff gets sore too.

There is a little dent and a knot of scar tissue. I'm wondering if surgery is even worthwhile or if it's completely pointless after this much time.

So the pectoral attaches to your humerus under the bicep via a tendon - that tendon tore off my bicep entirely and disappeared into my chest. I had a huge dent in the armpit and no strength at all. The had to fish the muscle and tendon out of my chest and stretch it back out to attach to the arm. It sounds like your injury was not a complete tear, so maybe surgery was not indicated. You would be pretty crippled and unable to bench at all if you had a complete or significant tear.

They’re just numbers bro, no need to go above and beyond and re-injure yourself. Are you the kind of guy that gets off from the pump or from increasing numbers?

the numbers, within reason. I like being strong.

I am not trying to increase my squat or dead lift, but I would like my bench back to where it is proportionate to the rest of my lifts.

As someone with a strong bench, you shouldn’t worry about it....by far the gayest, most overrated and most unimportant of the big 3. In fact, OHP might be more useful.

HGH is a wonder drug and designed for this. Think of all the fucked up shit people put in their bodies. Some people ingest literal poison on a daily basis for decades

6-8 weeks is nothing over a lifetime.
